🍽️ Have lunch with me in the most anticipated Parisian restaurant opening this fall
What are you doing this coming Wednesday for lunch?
Well, I have a table for 2 at one of the most anticipated restaurant opening this fall.
You might have heard of Manon Fleury before.
She’s part of the team at “On va Deguster” on France Inter and, most recently, held the residency at the Chalet des Iles Daumesnil since February.
Manon is widely regarded as one of the rising stars in the European culinary world.
Datil, her first and new restaurant, has only been opened for 1 week.
Here’s an incredible chance to eat at a restaurant which will pretty soon be impossible to eat at if things go well… 😅
All the details, below.
12.30-15:30 Wednesday Oct. 4th
Lunch is in 4 dishes and costs 65EUR

🎤 Joining the board at La Product Conf
This year’s edition of La Product Conf in Paris was EPIC!
A gathering of 1000 product people in an amazing setting in Paris.
The line-up was excellent, and the energy was just out of this world.
I really loved the good vibes, connecting with so many fellow product folks I had only seen online. Sharing a moment as a community and learning together.
I also had the opportunity — thanks to the team at LPC — to facilitate a couple of conversations with some incredible guests, including Melissa Perri and Ryan Singer.
OK, but what does this mean concretely?
The board of the conference is composed of chairmen and women who not only collaborate in co-creating the event itself (format, content, etc.) but also source speakers and help them navigate the rollercoaster it can be to speak in front of so many people with impactful content.
I’m super excited about this opportunity to bring something different to the table and contribute to this amazing event with a brilliant bunch.
Here’s to LPC2024! 🥂
🍦 Humans of Product
Each bento features a human I came to know.
I want to build a community where product people can really connect and help each other. ✨
Meet Pierre Fournier.
One of my first guests on Product Squad, ex-CPO at ManoMano and now back to his entrepreneurial roots.
My friendship with Pierre is like a bottle of wine.
Time is making it better, for now. 😃
After a successful training on how to become a better manager and a card game as an extension of the training course, Pierre has just launched “La méthode Will”, a novel about life in a company and challenges one might face along the way.
Here’s a testimonial from someone who went through the training:
“Will has enabled me to learn how to love my work.”
Pretty deep and transformative if you ask me.
This is not sponsorship. Just a friendly recommendation.
🩺 (Free for now) Product Clinic
I’m opening weekly 30-minute slots for people who need help with a specific situation they’re faced with.
Fill in this short form and I’ll get back to you.
Depending on how this goes, I might not have time for everyone straight away, but will get back to you in any case.
That’s how I grow, too. 💫
🤓 AI jargon-buster
September means back to work and your busy schedule of afterwork drinks and dinner parties. Here’s your cheat sheet to look smarter next time someone brings up GenAI or ChatGPT.
N-grams
Imagine cutting a sentence into short phrases or word pairs to better understand its structure. N-grams are those chunks.
Example for PMs: In natural language processing tasks like search or text analysis, n-grams can improve the performance of models by capturing context around a word. For example, if you're building a search functionality for your app, using n-grams can make the search results more relevant to the user.Word Embeddings
It’s like putting words on a social network, where similar words hang out closer to each other. Word embeddings map words into a numerical space that captures their meaning.
Example for PMs: If your product has a recommendation feature, word embeddings can help the system better understand user input or reviews to suggest highly relevant items, thereby improving user satisfaction and potentially increasing sales.Decision Trees
Imagine a flowchart that helps you decide what to wear based on the weather, your mood, and the type of event you're attending. A decision tree works similarly, making decisions based on different variables.
Example for PMs: Decision trees can be used for customer segmentation. You could use different attributes like purchase history, demographics, and engagement level to classify customers into groups and tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
🍄 Congrats, you’re all levelled-up now!
Last Tuesday, I was surprised to see how complicated it could be to find a place to eat past 10.30pm in Paris. Even Mickey Dees and Colonel’s Chicken were closed. 🤯 #firstworldproblemsarereal
Peace out! ✌🏽
Manon Fleury, lucky you :) Did you already try Golden Puppy, the one Dominique Crenn recently opened? My target next time I come to Paris
Nope, I’m a fan of the chef, specially as she’s a Bretonne at heart. 💛 I haven’t heard exceptional things about the place tho…
Will have to find out for myself.
